Geocaching in the Keweenaw

September 10, 2010
9 AM to 7 PM

Spend the day exploring the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula during the fall color season during a geocaching event. At the end of the day there will be a bonfire with hot dogs and snacks provided. A treasure hunt for kids will be held before the evening cookout.

The Keweenaw Heritage Sites work in partnership with the National Park Service to

Quincy Mine Tours

America's first mining boom began as prospectors and speculators rushed to mine deposits of native copper along the Keweenaw Peninsula. For 99 years Quincy mined these deposits and its impressive string of dividends earned it the name of "Old Reliable".
