Geocaching in the Keweenaw

September 10, 2010
9 AM to 7 PM

Spend the day exploring the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula during the fall color season during a geocaching event. At the end of the day there will be a bonfire with hot dogs and snacks provided. A treasure hunt for kids will be held before the evening cookout.

U.P. Firefighters Museum
 

The historic former Red Jacket Fire Station was built of Jacobsville sandstone around the turn of the century. The first floor displays vintage firefighting equipment including vehicles.

The second floor features exhibits dedicated to the history of fire fighting in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
