The museum features the world’s best collection of minerals from the Keweenaw including crystallized native copper, native copper in crystallized calcite, native silver, and datolite. Among specimens on display is arguably the world’s best specimen of crystallized native copper. Greenstone (chlorastrolite), the gemstone of Michigan, and Lake Superior agates are on display.
